Why Kiva? We’ve all heard the proverb “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime”. What often happens with charity is that it leads to dependency rather than empowerment. Lending through Kiva, on the other hand, takes the whole “Teach a Man To Fish” one level further because it does not assume we know better than the local entrepreneurs. There is no “teaching” involved, just simple empowerment.

Tal Gur is an ardent supporter of Conscious Creators around the world and the founder of ELEVATE Circle. After trading his daily grind for a life of his own daring design, Tal spent a decade pursuing 100 major life goals around the globe. His most recent book, The Art of Fully Living, has set the stage for the elevate review mission.
